After Merel completed her Bachelor Degree, she noticed that there was a huge demand for good and, particularly reliable babysitters. To meet this demand she called in her friends and the idea of Babysittersclub was born. With Babysittersclub, Merel combines her love for children with her many years' experience in child healthcare. Her company is close to her heart. Merel is mother to Hugo, Derck, Huib, Puck* and Lieve and our babysitters work regularly for her.

Babysitterclub has mediated professionaly between families and babysitters since Merel first came up with the idea of Babysittersclub in 2007. In the following years she founded Babysittersclub Utrecht, Den Haag and het Gooi. In spite of these expansions, Merel guarantees a personal approach to ensure that Babysittersclub remains exclusive. As a mother of five children, Merel knows better than anyone that, above all else, you need absolute reliability from a babysitter. That's why we supervise a strict selection process.
